Arabia's KARELIA series was named after the Finnish province of Karelia, which was split up between Finland and Russia after the Winter War of 1939-1940. It was designed by Anja Winquist and manufactured between 1970 and 1986. The range of colouring of the handpainted brown stripes varies because of the melting of the colours, which makes every item a unique piece.
